Eric has more than 20 years of business experience including as President & CEO at Internap and Tandberg Television, both in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. Together, these firms created >$2B in enterprise value and 45% and 92% compound annual growth during Eric’s tenure. In both cases, Eric applied a ‘simplify, focus, act’ management philosophy to turn around struggling global businesses, spur organic growth and execute targeted M&A transactions in support of value creation. Eric received post graduate education in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Navy and holds a B.S. from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Paul Horton

Paul joined SAM in February 2016 after previous CFO / FD roles within the UK manufacturing sector. Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles in both publicly traded and private equity backed businesses. Paul has re-structured and integrated a number of international finance organisations, most recently with Cooper Industries (MTL division) a leading global electronics manufacturer. With considerable experience in leveraged environments, Paul has a track record of raising debt and equity finance and supporting management teams through restructuring and growth cycles.  Paul is a graduate of Durham University and qualified as a Chartered accountant with KPMG.

Tim Banks

With over 20 years’ experience in the media and broadcast industry, Tim has held senior commercial and operational roles based in the UK, the US and France.  Most recently, Tim led the integration of the Quantel and Snell sales organisations and has since developed a formidable sales capability for Snell Advanced Media within EMEA. Under Tim's stewardship, SAM has outperformed the market in EMEA, delivering exceptional rates of year-on-year revenue growth.  Tim has also held senior positions within cross-industry organisations, including the IABM and the DTG.  Tim graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA (Cantab) in Social & Political Sciences and was awarded an MBA with Distinction by Kingston University.

Simon Gatt

Simon has more than 20 years experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations within the broadcast industry.  He is experienced in all aspects of supply operations, materials management, purchasing, production planning, inventory management, new product development, logistics, applied business systems and integrated business process management. He has a proven track record for improving gross margin and simplifying the value chain. Simon holds a post graduate qualification in Management from the University of Portsmouth and an Electronics Diploma from University of the West of England.

Neil Maycock

Neil Maycock is responsible for SAM’s production, editing, media management, and playout product lines, holding the position of General Manager, Media Software Solutions. Prior to SAM, Neil held the positions of Chief Architect and Chief Marketing Officer at Snell. Before Snell, he was a director of Pro-Bel and held positions including President of the Americas and CTO. He is a Fellow of the IET, Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Neil has a BSc(Hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Essex, and a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.

Robert Szabó-Rowe

Robert Szabó-Rowe has worked for Snell Advanced Media and its prior companies in the role of General Manager, Live Production & Infrastructure for the previous six years.  Prior to this role he spent ten years in the mobile phone positioning/GPS business in various CTO roles. Prior to this, Robert spent ten years in the mobile phone infrastructure business as an operator holding various Director and Vice President roles in the United States and Europe. Robert received his Masters in communications engineering from the University of London (First class honors).

Craig Thompson

Craig Thompson holds the position of Head of Services at SAM. Craig was appointed in the role in May 2017 after successfully transforming the services portfolio when he joined in 2015. In his role Craig takes responsibility for service delivery, customer support and service sales for SAM customers and partners. He brings over 20 years of experience in the broadcast market, transforming and building service teams. Prior to joining SAM, Craig held various senior management positions within Ericsson, Tandberg Television and NDS. Craig graduated and received a BSc degree from Southampton University in Systems Engineering.

Stephen Wong

Stephen Wong is SVP of Sales for Snell Advanced Media based in Hong Kong. Renowned for his success and achievement in driving the adoption of digital television in China, Stephen has more than 30 years’ experience in the television broadcast industry. He previously held a senior-level of position with Grass Valley where he led the company’s operations in the Pacific region. Stephen also held leadership and engineering positions with Tektronix, Philips, Ampex and Rediffusion Television. Stephen holds a degree in Television Engineering.

Matt York

HR Director

Starting his HR career with BT plc, Matt joined News Corporation’s NDS before becoming VP HR of Tandberg Television, assisting the CEO and Leadership Team to turnaround and grow the business until its acquisition by Ericsson. Matt successfully led Tandberg’s integration into Ericsson, before leaving in 2013. After a year in Pharmaceuticals Matt returned to Broadcast, joining SAM in 2015. Matt graduated from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
